What is e-IFU ?

e-IFU means Electronic Instruction For Use. The e-IFU (lnstructions for use) for some of our products are provided as pdf files, available on our website into each products section. The IFU are no longer included in the product packaging.

Which Products ?

In accordance with EU regulation (No. 2017/745), e-labelling is available for implantable medical devices and their accessories, which are intended for exclusive use by professional users, e.g. physicians, nurses and hospital staff. All other products are still accompanied by printed instructions for use.

Why e-lFU ?

It's always up-to-date

e-IFU ensures that the user always has the lastest version of the IFU.

It's easy

Scanning the QR code on the product label takes you directly to the IFU. Alternatively, you can enter the URL from the label into your web browser. This way the IFU is available on your computer, mobile phone, or tablet. Unlike printed IFU, you can enlarge it for better readability.

It's eco-friendly

e-IFU avoids unnecessary consumption of paper and protects natural resources.

How does it work ?

Use your cell phone or tablet to scan the QR-code next to the e-labelling symbol on the product Label. Alternatively, you can enter the URL located underneath the QR-code into your web browser to access the IFU. Choose and download the IFU in your preferred language (A PDF software is requested). Should you require a printed IFU, simply call us or send us an e-mail.

All notices on our website are available in PDF format. If you have the Abobe Reader software, you will be able to view, print and download these documents.

The software is available free of charge from the Abobe Systems website and is available for Windows, Macintosh and Unix systems.

If you have difficulty downloading the software, the Adobe website offers Customer Support.

+ View and print a file

Once Adobe Reader has been installed on your computer, you can view and print the leaflets from the BIOTECHNI website. Simply open the window of the product you’re interested in and click on your language.

If you wish to print the file, click on “File -> Print”.
